Long before dementia claimed her life, my Mom asked to remain at home throughout the course of her illness. It seemed like the best way to give her the care and attention she deserved. And it was. But it’s hard to grasp the full weight of that responsibility until you experience it first hand.  Successfully keeping my Mom at home wouldn’t have been possible without a team of people in place 24/7, all dedicated to making it happen.   Taken from my  Mom's bedside, this series of portraits depicts the people who made it possible for her to remain at home until the end.
